Leak Analysis

In Bentley OpenUtilities Designer and Bentley OpenUtilities Map, the Leak Analysis tools enable a user to capture pipe leak and break data and perform analyses to identify problem areas which can feed into replacement and maintenance decisions.

The Leak Analysis tools can be accessed through the Gas > Utilities > Leak Analysis menu.

The Leak Analysis tools can also be accessed from the Leak Analysis toolbar.

There are three major steps in leak analysis:

Entering leak records
Assigning leak records to Gas Mains
Preparing reports and displays of leak analysis

Note: The word "leak" is used to cover all leaks and breaks. It is up to the user to determine which types of leaks are to be recorded in the database. The user can restrict them to pipe barrel breaks or can include service line, and device leaks.
